RepComet API

Send review requests automatically when a job is done.

Create an API key under Integrations in your RepComet account. Send it on every request:

  • Phone or email is required; both is best.
  • location (name) or location_id is needed only if you have more than one location.
  • technician (optional): who did the job, for the team leaderboard (Growth and Pro).
  • completed_at defaults to now. Jobs older than 30 days are saved without a review request.
  • request_review: false saves the customer without asking.
  • Repeat customers are matched by phone, then email. Customers who opted out are never contacted.
  • The same Idempotency-Key within 24 hours returns the first answer instead of acting twice.

Answers: 201 new customer, 200 existing customer, both with data.status of requested (review request scheduled) or saved (and why not); 422 when the job could not be accepted, with the reason.

Limit: 120 requests a minute per key.

Webhooks

Add an https address under Integrations to be told about feedback.received, review.received and review_request.responded. Each delivery is JSON {"id", "event", "created_at", "data"} with the header X-RepComet-Signature: t=<unix>,v1=<hex>, where hex is HMAC-SHA256 of t + "." + body using your signing secret. Reject deliveries older than 5 minutes. Failed deliveries are retried for about two hours.

With Zapier

Trigger: "job completed" (or "invoice paid") in Jobber, Housecall Pro, QuickBooks, ServiceTitan, Square or your CRM. Action: Webhooks by Zapier, POST, URL https://repcomet.com/api/v1/jobs, payload type JSON, header Authorization = Bearer YOUR_KEY, and map the customer's name, phone and email.
