Terms of Service
Last updated October 3, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you (the "Customer") and SocialPoints Media LLC ("SocialPoints Media", "we") for use of RepComet. By creating an account you agree to them. If you sign up for a business, you confirm you can bind that business.
1. The service
RepComet sends review requests to your customers by text message and email, gives them a page where they choose between leaving a public review and sending you private feedback, monitors your Google rating and reviews, and provides a dashboard, a website widget, QR codes, an API and related tools. Features vary by plan as described on the pricing page. Features marked "coming soon" are not part of your plan until they are released.
2. Your account
Keep your login secure and tell us promptly about unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity under your account, including your team members and API keys.
3. Your customers and consent
You will only add people who are your own customers and who gave you their phone number or email in connection with work you did for them. You are responsible for having the consent the law requires to contact them, including under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and state laws, and for honoring their requests to stop. RepComet adds opt-out instructions to every text, processes STOP replies and unsubscribe links, and never contacts an opted-out person again; you agree not to work around those protections or re-add people who opted out.
4. Review rules
Platforms such as Google, and the Federal Trade Commission's rule on consumer reviews and testimonials (16 CFR Part 465), prohibit certain practices. You agree that you will not use RepComet, or anything outside it, to:
- ask only satisfied customers for reviews, or discourage or filter out customers who might leave a negative review ("review gating");
- offer money, discounts, gifts or anything else in exchange for a review;
- ask for a particular rating, or write, buy or post fake reviews;
- suppress or misrepresent reviews, for example by presenting only positive reviews as if they were all of them.
RepComet is designed to help you follow these rules (every customer gets the same request and the same two choices, and message wording that breaks them is refused), but compliance is your responsibility and RepComet is not legal advice.
5. Messaging
Text messages are sent through our messaging provider from a number registered to your business with the phone carriers. Carrier registration requires accurate information about your business; we may delay or stop texting for a business that provides false information or receives excessive complaints. Messages may not be delivered in every case, and carriers may filter them. The SMS terms describe the program to the people who receive messages.
6. Your data
You own your customer data and your content. You give us permission to process it only to provide and improve the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. Review content from Google is shown as Google provides it, with attribution, and only for as long as Google's terms allow.
7. Plans, fees and limits
Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance and renew until cancelled. There is no setup fee. Each plan includes a number of texts per billing period; when they are used up, review requests go by email until the next period, and we do not charge for extra texts. Additional locations are billed as shown on the pricing page. You can cancel any time from your account; your plan stays active to the end of the paid period and nothing more is charged. Fees are non-refundable except where the law requires. If we change prices, we will tell you at least 30 days before your next renewal.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep RepComet available and secure but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change features; if we remove something material from a paid plan, we will tell you in advance.
9. Disclaimers and liability
RepComet is provided "as is" to the extent the law allows. We do not promise any number of reviews or any rating. Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. You are responsible for claims arising from messages sent to people you added without the consent the law requires.
10. Termination
You can cancel at any time. We may end or suspend accounts that breach these terms, including the consent and review rules above. After your plan ends you can still sign in to resubscribe or export your data; we delete account data as described in the Privacy Policy.
11. General
These terms are governed by the laws of the state where SocialPoints Media LLC is organized. If any part is unenforceable, the rest still applies. Questions: support@repcomet.com.
